Overview
- This game is divided in two modes:
- Management of your schedule including training and meals.
- 3D fighting mode for bouts (matches) and sparring (casual matches).
Your goal is to become champion before reaching the age of 36.
- First Day:
- You first need to fill the gym's membership application, set basic settings such as your name and height and then you will be able to select a face for your character among 8 available.
- Pro-Test:
Passing a Pro-Test is required to participate in professional matches. This will be your first challenge and it take place a month from now.
Open the SCHEDULE menu to accept it.
In case you do not pass the test, you will be able to take another one month later.
- Matchups:
- A Pro-Test is a 1-round fight against another amateur boxer in which you must score a certain amount of points to pass.
Attention, if you consecutively lose 6 tests means game over.
Once you clear the Pro-Test, you can finally step on the professional ring starting with 4-rounds bouts as challenger. By increasing your rank, other boxers will eventually challenge you.
Trying to quickly rank up by doing as many as bouts as possible or going slowly and taking time to train and stay undefeated? The choice is yours.
- Weight Check:
- When a bout is contracted, a defined weight limit is also accepted. You must not exceed that limit the day of the bout, this is why you must set an adapted diet.
- Training:
- Analyze your opponent's stats and skills and try to be in the best condition possible. This is not about doing all 9 kinds of training, this is about doing the right training to win the next bout.
- Sparring:
- Sparring is a casual match with one of your gym partner. Prepare yourself for the next bout by selecting a boxer who has about the same fighting style as your next opponent.
- Rest:
- Days off are extremely important, too.
Not only training while being tired will give poor results but if you accumulated too much fatigue then you'll not be able to do well in bouts.
- Bout Day:
Before the match takes place, boxers are weighted. Even if you don't pass the weight check, you can accept the match but it will automatically count as a defeat.
- Into the Ring:
- Once the match begun, the only thing you have to focus on is how to defeat the man standing in front of you. How you fight is up to you, be quick and aggressive, wait for the perfect instant to deliver a strong punch, stand by and wait for your opponent accumulate fatigue, etc.
- After a Bout:
- The end of a bout means setting your schedule and training for the next one.
A replay of the match can be saved to be watched later. 12 camera angles are available.
- From Japan to the World:
- Once you become champion of Japan, you'll be able to fight in international leagues. It also means that you'll need to train harder!
- Retirement:
- The career of a boxer is usually short.
Some will leave without knowing the feeling of winning a championship belt, many will retire after reaching the international stage, some others will never give up their throne, etc.
